Philly Community Alliance Against COVID-19
Philly CEAL is a city-wide collaborative effort aimed at providing the Philadelphia community with the resources and tools needed to protect our neighborhood from the spread of COVID-19.
We use community-engaged strategies to find solutions that can reduce the burden and impact of COVID-19 among diverse communities throughout Philadelphia.
Philly CEAL is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of a larger national initiative called The NIH Community Engagement Alliance (NIH CEAL) against COVID-19 Disparities.


What are Philly CEAL's goals?

Raise COVID-19 awareness among youth and racial/ethnic communities throughout the city of Philadelphia, with an emphasis on emergent and ongoing COVID-19 disparities and the root causes that fuel them.

Promote collaborations between multiple sectors to promote new opportunities for COVID-19 prevention and care service delivery.

Promote diverse and inclusive COVID-19 services and other programming within impacted communities throughout Philadelphia.

Increase access to and uptake of COVID-19 vaccines in the city of Philadelphia.
What does Philly CEAL aim to do?
Aim 1
Convene a multisectoral coalition in Philadelphia focused on identifying opportunities to address COVID-19 disparities in our communities.
Aim 2
Give voice to communities through community-engaged science to understand the barriers and facilitators to Philadelphia's COVID-19 response.
Aim 3
Create and support responsive and diverse community-driven efforts to address COVID-19 disparities in Philadelphia.
